About
Rebecca Fudala is a photographer, photo editor, visual storyteller, and documentarian. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from American University’s School of International Service and a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. While attending graduate school, Rebecca served as a production assistant and then production director for Columbia University's Journal of International Affairs
An avid traveler, Rebecca’s journeys have taken her across the globe, including to Japan, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Tanzania, South Africa, Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Cuba, Egypt, France, Germany, Austria, and beyond.
Between 2007 and 2011, Rebecca lived abroad, teaching English as a Second Language in the Czech Republic, South Korea, Palestine, and Costa Rica. In 2009, she began volunteering with Amnesty International, sparking her passion for human rights and social justice. Since then, she has collaborated with various international organizations, including Project Hope, the United Nations, Oxfam International, and Oxfam America.
In 2020, Rebecca earned a certificate in Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism from the International Center of Photography in New York. Shortly after graduating, she relocated to Minnesota to care for her mother, where she worked as a photographer and journalist for the local Aitkin Independent Age.
Rebecca returned to New York in 2021, where she worked as a photo editor for the Daily Mail. She currently works as a photo editor at National Geographic.
