About

Rebecca Fudala is a photographer, photo editor, visual storyteller, and documentarian. She holds a bachelor's degree in International Studies from American University’s School of International Service and a master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

An avid traveler, Rebecca's journeys have taken her to Japan, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Tanzania, South Africa, Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Cuba, Egypt, France, Germany, Austria, and beyond.

From 2007 to 2011, she lived abroad teaching English as a Second Language in the Czech Republic, South Korea, Palestine, and Costa Rica. In 2009, Rebecca began volunteering for Amnesty International, which ignited her passion for human rights and social justice. Since then, she has worked with various international organizations including Project Hope, the United Nations, Oxfam International, and Oxfam America.

In 2020, Rebecca graduated from the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism certificate program at the International Center of Photography, New York. Shortly after graduation she went to Minnesota to help care for her mother, during which time she worked as a photographer and journalist for the local paper, the Aitkin Independent Age.

In 2021, Rebecca moved back to New York to work as a photo editor for the Daily Mail, and in 2023, she achieved her dream role as a photo editor at National Geographic.
